iTradeVideoGames gives back to the game development and publishing community.
Attention: Arts/Entertainment Editor, Assignment Editor, Lifestyle Editor, Tech/Telecomm Editor
TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Feb. 21, 2006)
Over the years, video game prices continue to increase as hard working developers and their publishers continue to struggle with increased budget constraints, longer development cycles and more expensive production runs. Large scale retailers continue to rake in money by selling video games over and over again. The used game market is now incredibly massive and effectively works to the disadvantage of those who create and deploy the games; developers and publishers do not see one penny from the massive world-wide used video game market.
In an unprecedented move, iTradeVideoGames.com, the ultimate video game trading community, has offered to give out 10 cents from every dollar earned to the development and publishing community in an effort to give something back to the game producing community that works so hard to bring us such phenomenal products. In this shockingly bold move, iTradeVideoGames.com hopes that other industries that are making a large profit off of the billion dollar used video game industry will follow suite.
Lee Babin, webmaster for iTradeVideoGames.com had this to say on the announcement. “The hard working developers and publishers are the reason that we get to play such amazing games. They work insane hours and they do not get the recognition they deserve. It seems silly that large scale retailers should be getting rich off of the hard work of the people who actually create the games. I think it is time to give something back to the community. While we are not a large scale retailer, raking in millions of dollars, we will give to the community all that we can.”
Will this be a new trend amongst retailers and businesses that are benefiting from game developers and publishers? iTradeVideoGames.com certainly hopes so and they hope that large scale retailers who are currently making millions off of used game sales will use this pioneering example to start paying back those that truly deserve the large amounts of money they use to appease their shareholders.

press release
iTradeAnime.com, following the footsteps of the highly successful iTradeVideoGames.com, looks to fill the void of anime trading with a safe, fair trading experience.
iTradeVideoGames.com's aim was to provide a means for users to sample as many new games as possible, without being gouged by retailer's obscene used game systems, by trading amongst a community of friendly, like-minded gamers. It seems that gamers around the world are feeling iTradeVideoGames' vibe, as the first month of launch brought over 700 users together to perform over 500 trades, with more happening every day.
Since iTradeVideoGames.com is such a success, the developers behind the site have decided to scratch another itch that affects a mass of users around the world; anime trading. iTradeAnime.com is set to launch on February 1st, 2006 and ushers in a new era for anime lovers. Anime is amazing to watch, but can be quite cost prohibitive. Sadly, the used market for anime is highly restricted as well due to its high cost, relative rarity and niche user base. With iTradeAnime.com, the site's creators hope to spark a new interest in the medium and provide users from around the world a way to meet, communicate and, above all, trade anime with each other while retaining some equity in their hard earned anime money.
iTradeAnime.com Registration is free, purchases require a mere one dollar US (in the form of an "iTrade" purchase) and selling is always free! On top of all this, those who have already signed up and have been trading away on iTradeVideoGames.com need only log in with their same username and password on the iTradeAnime.com site and their iTrades and iBucks will be synched between the two sites. This gives current and future iTrade members more value for their iBucks.
With the successful launch of iTradeAnime.com ready to go, it looks as though mediaphiles from around the world have more exciting news ahead.
Itradevideogames.com looking to lead the used video game market
www.Itradevideogames.com helps cut out the middleman in the buying and selling of used video games
TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Dec. 23, 2005) - www.Itradevideogames.com is a state of the art online service that creates a user-friendly environment for video game enthusiasts to network with each other to buy and sell their used video games. Using the itradevideogames database members can easily list the video games they want to sell, search for and buy video games from other members, keep a record of all their transactions, and make a list of friends they wish to continue trading with.Platforms of games are Xbox360,Xbox,Psp,Ps2,Gba,Ds,and Game cube
The website encourages members to sell their video games in order to generate funds to buy video games. All financial transactions on itradevideogames.com are conducted using the website's internal currency known as iBucks. All games on the website are priced at current market value (the price you'd probably expect to pay at a used video game retailer) and listed for sale on the website in iBuck currency. As a member you'll be assigned an individual account where you can amass iBucks to buy the video games you want. You can generate iBucks by selling your games or purchasing them for $1USD each. There is no fee for selling your games and only a small transaction fee (in the form of iTrades) for buying games. One iTrade is purchased on the website for $1USD each.
As an example, lets say you notice a hot new game listed for sale on the website for 40 iBucks that you wish to buy. You happen to have two games you want to sell valued on the website for 20 iBucks each. By selling those games and purchasing one iTrade you are now able to buy the 40 iBuck game you wanted. Since all games are bought and sold for their current market value sellers can expect to get the best possible value for their used video games ( without a middleman taking a large cut ). Lee Babin, the website's administrator, explains the advantages this way:
"Up until now if you wanted to trade in your video games towards the purchase of a new or used game you'd go down to your local video game store and take whatever they offered. Most times you'd be lucky to get even a third of a video game's original value. The retailer on the other hand will turn around and sell that same game for near the original retail price. With itradevideogames.com, when a game is listed for 40 iBucks that full value will go to the seller. With the full value of the game(s) you sell going into your iBucks account you can then purchase video games on the site with little or no money coming out of your pocket. As well iBuck dollars are completely transferable between members and can even be sold amongst members if they so wish. There are even future plans in the works to allow members to use their iBucks at sister trade sites, to buy goods other than video games."
Buying video games on the website is virtually stress-free. Once a game is sold iBuck dollars are instantly withdrawn from the purchaser's iBuck account and kept in escrow until the purchaser receive the game. Once the purchaser acknowledges that they have received the game in good order, the iBucks are then taken out of holding and transferred to the seller's account. Of course with any online business transaction there is a certain amount of inherent trust that must be given. The site is encouraging good trading practices by giving buyers and sellers a chance to rate and leave feedback on fellow members, much in the way it is currently done on well-known and respected "auction" web-sites. Members with positive feedback and high ratings will be able to continue using the website to great benefit while members who choose to abuse the system will soon find themselves out in the cold.
The used video game market generates well over a billion dollars a year globally in sales, the bulk of which goes into the hands of retail stores. Itradevideogames.com by design helps keep the money in the pockets of the video game consumer. A breakdown of many of the website's features include:
-Internal e-mail system between traders
-Buddy list
-Internal game portfolio, with current retail pricing for each game
-Top ten most popular traded games list
-Top ten requested games list
-Internal rating system for traders
-Feedback messaging system
-At-a-glance account status
-Game condition rating
-Trading history
-My request list (displays your requested games once they become available)
